Boonos is an Australian producer making some quality chunky tech funky breaks who in my opinion is somewhat underrated. His recent entry for the U&A remix competition was not lucky enough to win, so he is now giving it away for free and that is a very lucky thing.. Check out BOONOS ON SOUNDCLOUD , where you will find a bunch of mixes and quality tunes. Definitely someone to keep an eye on if the driving, chunky stuff gets you going..

A quality label which is consistently putting out excellent material on the deeper end of the breaks spectrum.. I have been keeping tabs on this label for a while and every release seems to go from strength to strength.. After picking up the Maxtor EP a couple of weeks ago and loving it to bits, I was lucky enough to just receive the Crazy EP which is the next release on Funndark Records and thought I'd spread the word. It will be released exclusively at Beatport on the 18th November, and other stores on 2nd December but you can take a peek at them here or on their SOUNDCLOUD
In a time where music sales are generally by the song/release and albums are few and far between, BSD's latest offering is one of the most eagerly awaited releases of 2010 as far as breaks are concerned. A total MUST have for anyone liking breaks that destroy dancefloors, a week after being released it is absolutely dominating the Beatport Breaks charts and well worthy of a mention on here..
All round hot property NAPT return for part 4 of their Contraband series, this time re-mixing Cee Lo Green's "Fuck You" into a futuristic N-Funk electronic work out.
Watch out for NAPT's next single with the multi talented Ashley "Bashy" Thomas, "Make My Day", due for release on December 5 2010 on Bashy Holdings.

Was so excited to play this show, I hopped on the airwaves a little early so it's over the usual 2 hr length. Loads of new tunes that were so fresh I hadn't had the chance to play them yet, but still feel the mix flows along quite nicely.. Beatsmack are a local Perth duo, Bezwun and Intercept who are making waves on the Breakbeat scene worldwide.. With their recent release on Dead Famous Records, a remix of "The DJ" by Home Alone creating quite a splash on the Beatport breaks charts and gaining support from many of the heavyweights in the scene. Having also released under Miles Dyson's label Plasmapool Media and another release on the way for on a BREAK Records, the future is looking bright and Beatsmack is definitely a name to keep an eye on..

This show was a big one, to say the guest mix by Wardian is impressive would be a massive understatement..Featuring mainly tunes from himself, The Brainkiller, and their collaboration Bad Taste, the Funndark Recs head honcho shows exactly how to throw down a promo mix of your own fresh material. Not for the faint hearted, it's a mix full of heavy basslines, infectious melodies and relentless energy.
